Who We Are
Advocates for Peer Inclusion was founded to provide an innovative solution to the issue of peer exclusion and victimization in middle and high schools. There is limited research on how students can create an environment of inclusion for themselves and their peers. Advocates for Peer Inclusion aims to address this by utilizing college students to act as a support and encouragement for middle and high school students to shift their own school culture to a more inclusive one. Our vision is for middle and high school students to feel included and connected among their peers within their school community in order to provide an environment optimal for learning. Advocates for Peer Inclusion is a registered student organization at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. We serve Knox County Schools, TN.
